Fremont Christian School Tutoring

Simon Academics provides tutoring for high school and junior high students at Fremont Christian School who want clear instruction, steady progress, and real results. As a private, college preparatory community, FCS asks students to write thoughtfully, read closely, and master math concepts that build year over year. Our Fremont tutoring center supports that mission with one on one and small group instruction tailored to your student’s courses and schedule.

Reading Support that Builds Real Comprehension

Strong readers do more than recall details. They connect ideas, interpret structure, and explain how authors create meaning. In our reading classes, FCS students practice active reading with annotation, vocabulary growth, and guided discussion. This training improves performance on essays, presentations, and AP style prompts while making independent study time more productive.

Writing Help for Essays, Analysis, and Research

Clear writing unlocks better grades across every subject. In our writing classes, FCS students learn to plan, draft, revise, and polish with purpose. We focus on thesis development, paragraph structure, evidence, and style so essays read cleanly and earn stronger evaluations. Seniors can add dedicated personal statement and supplemental essay coaching through our college counseling and applications program.

Math Tutoring for Every Track

Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and AP Calculus each require fluency and steady practice. Our math tutoring emphasizes conceptual understanding and step by step problem solving. Students receive clear explanations, targeted drills, and pacing that aligns with FCS coursework so they can keep up and move ahead with confidence.

SAT and ACT Prep that Fits the Schedule

Testing success comes from strategy, repetition, and accountability. Our SAT and ACT prep blends official practice, timing work, and focused instruction in reading, grammar, and math. Students learn how to study between sessions, track progress, and peak at the right time before exam dates.

Simon Academics provides immensely useful personal 1on 1 tutoring for our family. We have now had 3 kids go through their services from Jr. High up through High School in a number of academic subjects (also had 2 daughters take Remote SAT boot camps which helped them prepare for the way intense testing can work). We have used them for several years and always gotten good results, even though our kids all learn and approach studies a bit differently.

Most recently Mr. Liang has been instrumental in clarifying things for my son (our youngest) as he had to dig himself out of a C- in Math, and claw his way back brick by brick to an B+. If you have kids who have a tendency to let themselves slide and don’t want to talk to you for help (or their math is now just beyond your memory like me) … Simon Academics is an excellent choice.

Truly, I am thankful to have found them. Personally, it is a load less stress to let a good tutor handle questions the kids are accumulating and feeling overwhelmed, then watch your child get frustrated, give up, or act out. We very much recommend these folks.

I sent my son to Simon Academics for four years during his high school years. And he was loving it. According to my son, Simon Academics writing classes were most useful classes to him. Comments and constructive feedback on the writing assignments had given my son a very strong foundation in English writing in high school as well as in the college. Son now writes very well and reads WSJ daily, thanks to Simon academics.

I feel Mr. Simon is one of the best kept secrets for Fremont students and parents, so I was torn about writing this review. But in the end, he truly deserves to be more well-known than the franchise tutor mills. Our two sons have been in Mr. Simon’s classes for the last two years, and we just enrolled them for another year. We can see their improvement in fictional writing style and persuasive organization. Their school teachers have also commented on how articulate they have become.

Why his classes work so well:
    • Expectations of disciplined work paired with humor keep students motivated.
    • Personalized feedback for each student, shared so the whole class learns.
    • Guidance for parents to avoid intervening lets students take ownership and become proactive.

Mr. Simon offers both in-person and live online options during class hours, but I recommend attending in-person whenever possible.

How We Work with FCS Families

Small classes and individualized sessions allow us to tailor instruction to each student. We coordinate goals, set a practical weekly plan, and keep communication clear so parents know what to expect. Students gain skills they can use the same week in class and see the difference on quizzes, essays, and exams.

    Explore Programs by School

We support students across Fremont in both public and private schools. If you are comparing options, you can also view our pages for Washington High School and John F. Kennedy High School (JFKHS). For a broader view, see our Fremont school programs.
