Stratford School Tutoring – Fremont Boulevard Campus
Simon Academics supports Stratford School families with warm, skills-focused tutoring that helps young learners feel confident and curious. Our Fremont tutoring center offers individualized sessions that build strong foundations in early reading, handwriting and written expression, number sense, and school-ready study habits. Sessions are gentle, structured, and matched to each child’s pace so progress feels natural.
Early Reading Readiness
We help children connect sounds to letters, recognize high-frequency words, and enjoy reading time. Through picture-rich texts, guided read-alouds, and conversation, students grow vocabulary and listening skills while learning how to track print and make meaning from simple passages. Parents who want a clear at-home routine can pair sessions with our flexible practice plans. Learn more on our reading classes page.
Early Writing and Handwriting
Strong writing begins with fine-motor control and clear letter formation. We blend multi-sensory activities with tracing, pencil control, spacing, and sentence building so children write neatly and express ideas in simple, well-formed sentences. When students are ready, we introduce sequencing, capitals and punctuation, and short response writing. See our approach on the writing classes page.
Early Math Foundations
Young learners thrive when math feels concrete and friendly. We build number sense with counting fluency, simple addition and subtraction, shapes, patterns, and early measurement. Manipulatives and visual models help concepts click, while short practice sets keep focus high. For families interested in light enrichment, we add reasoning games that make problem solving fun. Explore more on our math classes page.
School Habits and Confidence
Routines matter in the early years. We coach turn-taking, following directions, tidy workspaces, and a growth mindset so classroom time runs smoothly. Children learn how to start tasks, stay with them, and ask for help in a calm, clear way. These habits support every subject and make transitions easier.

Mr. Simon is a teacher who loves what he does. In addition to being a good teacher, he encourages students to dedicate themselves to their studies. My daughter has improved her writing skills a lot and she loves all the class and the teachers. We love this school.
I sent my son to Simon Academics for four years during his high school years. And he was loving it. According to my son, Simon Academics writing classes were most useful classes to him. Comments and constructive feedback on the writing assignments had given my son a very strong foundation in English writing in high school as well as in the college. Son now writes very well and reads WSJ daily, thanks to Simon academics.
Mr. Z at Simon Academics helped my daughter become confident in her writing. He is funny and patient with his students. He makes helpful edits in the homework and discusses each of the edits in class. If there’s time, he helps students understand the new homework so that they don’t get lost. We are very grateful for Mr. Z’s patience and help. I highly recommend Simon Academics. Thank You Mr. Z!
How We Work with Stratford Families
Instruction is individualized, offered one on one or in very small groups. We set simple goals, share brief lesson notes, and provide an easy home practice plan so parents know what to do between sessions. Most meetings run forty five to sixty minutes and include short movement breaks that match attention spans.
Have Older Siblings Too
If you also have students in Fremont public or private schools, we can help there as well. See our pages for Washington High School and John F. Kennedy High School (JFKHS), or browse our Fremont school programs hub.

Did You Know?
Stratford has two Fremont campuses. The Fremont Boulevard site serves early learners from about 2.5 years through Kindergarten, while Osgood extends through 8th grade. If your child is at either campus and you want gentle acceleration in reading, writing, or math, our Fremont tutoring center can build a simple plan that fits your schedule.
